The safer way to check for domain availability.

Many websites allow you to check for domain availability but few people realise that these companies keep a log of your searches and sell them to 'not so scrupulous' people to 'domain squat'. A prime example is my own domain 'http://www.kriswilkes.com/' - which was bought by someone this way and used to filter the traffic to their own clients.

I have searched for domains to find that they have been bought by A.N.Other before I had chance to register them myself.
Do not use other websites for searching domain availability unless they offer some sort of guarantee that they do not share their domain lookup logs with 3rd parties. We don't and never will pass information to ANY other party.
